Trump: America Will Lead the World in Digital Assets
U.S. President Donald Trump praised today, Tuesday, the House Rules Committee’s decision to open discussions on a series of bills aimed at establishing a federal legal framework for digital assets.
Trump stressed that once these laws are passed, the United States will become the “undisputed number one leader” in the digital asset space.
In a post on his platform "Truth Social," Trump wrote: “The GENIUS Act will place our great nation light years ahead of China, Europe, and all other countries that are desperately trying to catch up but simply can’t. Digital assets are the future, and we are far ahead!” He also urged Republicans to support and vote for the proposed legislation.
This comes as House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill described last week as "Crypto Week," as Congress focused on debating several key pieces of legislation, including the "CLARITY" Act related to digital asset regulation, a bill for oversight of central bank digital currencies, and the "GENIUS" Act.
Meanwhile, David Sacks, President Trump’s senior advisor on artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, emphasized the need for U.S. policy to shift from short-term profits to long-term strategic positioning in the digital finance sector.
Sacks pointed out that companies like Visa and Mastercard will find it easier to integrate stablecoins into their systems, making transactions faster and more efficient.
This move reflects a significant shift in the official American stance on digital assets and shows a serious intent to position the Un
ited States as a global leader in financial innovation.
